8:10am Family Fun Run  8:30am 5K

Catonsville High School 421 Bloomsbury Ave. Catonsville, MD 21228

Through our 16th Annual CHS XC Turkey Trot we are proud to be able to offer you a spectacular event with a grass roots feel.

100% of the proceeds of our Annual Catonsville Turkey Trot race go directly to the CHS Cross Country program, including the purchase of uniforms, training tools, and travel expenses, and the philanthropy causes they support.  When you participate in our race you are also giving back to your local community.  For our 2019 donation, funds will be raised for the Chesapeake Bay Foundation.  As a team, our cross country runners wanted to express their gratitude to a local organization that is doing important work for our environment, and we are proud to be able to contribute to, and support, the efforts of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation in this way.

Through our 2017 and 2018 charitable donations we were able to donate $1,000 directly towards Keely Horch's recovery fund and the Portalli's of Ellicott City relief efforts respectively.  Additionally, through the Carol Saffran-Brinks Memorial Scholarship fund, at the conclusion of the 2018-19 school year we have been able to provide five $1,000. scholarships to Catonsville Cross Country runner graduates, Eva White, Sharon Kalb, Graham Strzelecki, Anna Piermattei and Caroline Tippett who will all be pursuing a collegiate running career at their prospective colleges.  Additionally,  in 2017 we were honored to award Catonsville High School senior Mikaylan Diallo $1,000 through the In the Face of Adversity Scholarship.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place male and female finishers.  And as always, baked goods offered by our cross country team members' families are also included as prizes in both our overall and age group categories.

5K Race: First, second and third place Overall Male and Female, and the first place finisher for each gender for the following age group categories: 10 and under, 11-18, 19-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

Kids' 1 Mile Fun Run: First, second and third place overall male and female aged 13 or under (no age group awards).

Random prize drawings for gift certificates, running gear, training programs and so much more!

Fun for the Whole Family:

The Catonsville Hub will be providing a moon bounce for all of our young turkey trotters!

The Course:

There will be a SEPARATE 1 mile fun run on a 1 loop course beginning at 8:10am.  The 1 mile course is one large loop and we are excited to be able to offer the same finish line chute experience to our 1 milers as our 5k racers.  The 1 mile kids' fun run is timed, but is not a chip timed event.  Adults: there are youth age group awards for this run, so please be mindful of this when you come through the chute.

The 5k will begin at 8:30am on Rolling Rd by the school's entrance, and will then wind, cross country style, through the beautiful campus of Catonsville High School. The 5K Race is a chip timed event.

With the safety and race integrity of our participants in mind, strollers are not allowed on the 5k race course.  We can't wait though until those baby legs can join us on race day!

Due to the course constraints, we ask that runners stay to the right side of the course to allow faster runners to pass on the left.  Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

Please be mindful to wear your race bib on your OUTER MOST LAYER of clothing.  This is how your time and place are recorded.
